Greetings from Narmada Kidney Foundation.
As many of you may already know, Narmada Kidney Foundation is a NGO that works towards educating and helping people with kidney disease and provide support group for kidney patients to cope with the disease.
‘Life Shared, life Lived’ is the guiding principle of the foundation.
The Foundation believes that knowledge is strength supreme and sharing knowledge will help achieve its mission to help people take care of their kidneys and prevent kidney disease.I, Jyoti .K. Nagda started off as a social worker in my early twenties. My father was diagnosed with kidney failure and my mother gifted her kidney to him. It was during this period that I realized the apathy for people suffering from various life- threatening diseases. It moved and changed me. I knew my calling was to help patients and their families and since the last 13 years I have been associated with NKF and organ donation.
As a part of our social initiative, this year we will be participating in the “Dream Run”, Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2010 to raise funds for Organ Transplantation of Mr. Gangaram Mallana.
Hence, I Jyoti Nagda, on behalf of Narmada Kidney Foundation is contacting and requesting your support in the form of a donation.
Few months back 33 years old patient Gangaram Mallana was diagnosed with end stage kidney failure and is currently undergoing dialysis. He is the sole bread earner in his family with his wife and three children to look after. Working as a peon, he hardly earns enough money to run his house and now due to financial constraint, even undergoing dialysis every week is becoming unfeasible.
This year, I'm participating in the Mumbai Marathon to give new life to Gangaram Mallana and I've made this commitment and need your help to meet my goal of collecting Rs 3, 00,000, (Three lakh Only) so that we can give new life to Gangaram.
