Narmada Kidney Foundation, to fulfil its commitment to help people take care of their kidneys & prevent kidney diseases, organizes prevention camps to identify at-risk population & guide them. These screening camps are conducted for general public (normal population) in order to detect the presence of kidney disease or any risk factor like diabetes and high BP for development of Kidney Disease. Detecting the “at-risk” population for kidney disease in time will help prevent a number of people from progression to end stage kidney disease.

In the month of January 2018, the following screening camps were conducted & around 160 people took advantage:

To create awareness about Organ Donation & to promote Cadaver Organ Donation, Narmada Kidney Foundation, organizes lectures of Doctors & Experts at various places.

In the month of January 2018, Dr. Bharat Shah, Dr. Amol & Chief Co-Ordinator Mr. Rajnibhai Dhuvad delivered total 7nos. lectures at following places & around 950 people attended the lectures.

To promote cadaver organ donation and to spread awareness amongst the masses, Narmada Kidney Foundation also puts up Exhibition stalls at various exhibition sites. This month, at Shree Mahavir International Trust, Santacruz (E) & Navjivan Swasthya Mela, Jogeshwari stall were arranged.

 

To Help patients & their families understand kidney diseases & options for treatments, Kidney Workshops are arranged every week on regular basis. Various kidney related topics are discussed in these workshops. Besides educational aspects, these meetings offer an opportunity for patients to interact with other patients. Such interactions help patients cope with kidney failure. Kidney Workshops are conducted every Wednesday at Global Hospital, Parel from 1 pm to 3 pm. Similarly, every Saturday from 12 noon to 2 pm, workshop is arranged at Narmada Kidney Foundation office at Andheri. In these workshops, Dr. Prashant Rajput & Mr. Rajanibhai Dhuvad guide the patients & their families. This month around 65 people attended various workshops.
